The reason for this is for you to be informed and be able get a good perspective on the economy. Economic articles will enable you make informed decisions like on whether it’s the right time to buy or sell shares on the stock exchange, get into real estate business when it is on the upward trajectory and even new job openings that are coming up if you are looking for one or you want to quit your current job

Don’t be left behind by time when you can be informed by reading economic articles every once in a while, even if you do not like reading any thing in particular. Flurry Economic Times From Past

A flurry of economic news has occurred recently so I thought it might be a good idea to take a look ahead into 2011 and try to predict how well the year might shape up from an economic perspective. You might question my ability to do that since I have very little economic training. However, given that the best economic and political minds in the world did not foresee the coming of the Great Recession, the biggest economic downturn in about eighty years, I would humbly state that I cannot do any worse then the experts in predicting what will happen in 2011.

At the same time, we will try and take away some lessons from what is happening in the economy in order to not repeat the major missteps that the political class has done over the past few years. A person should always look at their own errors in order to not repeat those errors in the future, a life lesson that always seems to get lost on our politicians.

The origin of a classical approach to economics goes back to the 18th century. Adam Smith’s book on Economics, “An enquiry into the nature and causes of wealth of nations” was published in the year 1776. Neoclassical theory proposes or assumes that the market as an abstract idea. And all the players in the market, i.e. the buyers and sellers as well are ‘actors’ who are playing their part. It also proposes that markets will reach equilibrium, if all the sellers who want to sell at or below a given price will sell to buyers who are willing to buy at or above a given price, the price is worked out in the market.

Neoclassical theory is an approach to economics that relates supply and demand to an individual’s rationality and his or her ability to maximize utility or profits. The concept used mathematical equations to study the various aspects of economy. This approach was developed in the late-nineteenth century, based on books by William Stanley Jevons, Carl Menger and Leon Walrus.

Given the recent spate of bad economic news and statistics, there is now no doubt that the American political class has failed miserably over the past few years when it comes to operating a healthy, growing economy. All of the recent political class economic programs have been ineffective relative to their objectives including Cash For Clunkers, First Time Home Buyers Rebate Program, mortgage salvation programs such as HAMP, and worse of all, the economic stimulus program. All these economic failures did was to add to the skyrocketing national debt without providing any long lasting economic benefit.

The economic stimulus program was the worst culprit, if only because it wasted the most amount of taxpayer money, 0 billion, according to the latest Congressional Budget Office estimates. The economic models used to predict what would happen with increased government spending were disasters from a prediction perspective.
